The Gegharkunik Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) is dedicated to improving and helping the business people of Gegharkunik Marz. GCCI works with many organizations as well as its own membership bring about a strong economy in the Gegharkunik region. The Chamber was founded in 2001 and has over 220 dues paying members.
GCCI has three offices with the main office being in Gavar and two marketing offices in Sevan and Martuni. GCCI employs a staff of 15 professionals who can help business be successful while being based in the Gegharkunik region.
In 2005, GCCI received special recognition from the World Chamber of Commerce for its participation in the World Chambers Competition. Also, GCCI has trained over 150 new business people and helped them start over 30 businesses in Gegharkunik.
