Dr. Chalabian, author of other books such as General Andranik and the Armenian Revolutionary Movement and Armenia after the Coming of Islam, offers this account of the armed struggle of the Armenian hayduks or freedom-fighters who fought on the mountains of Sassun beginning in the 1890s. The hayduks came from different parts of Turkey and the Caucasus and were a key part of the Armenian revolutionary movement.
This work includes many black and white historical photos.
