Окончил [ЕГУ] (факультет радиофизики, 1982), кандидат физико-математических наук (1991), доктор физико-математических наук (2004), Члн.-корр НАН РА (2010).

Член президиума НАН РА (с 2011г.), Директор Института физических исследований НАН Армении.
