THREE ARMENIANS BECOME SAMBO WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS OF SOUTHERN FEDERAL OKRUG OF RUSSIA

KRASNODAR, DECEMBER 26, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. Three Armenians became Sambo Wrestling Championship winners of the Southern Federal Okrug (region) of Russia which took place in the city of Armavir, Krasnodar region. According to the "Yerkramas" (Country) newspaper of Armenians of Russia, our compatriots took the whole pedestal of honour in one of weight categories.
Results of the sportsmen of the Armenian nationality are the following: Mher Poghosian, Artem Margarian and Artur Sahakian (all the three from Armavir) took the first, second and third places correspondingly in the weight category of 52 kg, Armen Bidzhasian from Adigei took the first place in the weight category of 57 kg, David Balayan from Anapa took the third place in the weight category of 82 kg, Eduard Kurginian from Armavir took the second place in the weight category of 90 kg, and Samvel Sarkisov from Armavir took the first place in the weight category of 100 kg.
