History

Established: 1911 Consecrated: April 12, 1964

Sanctuary: The parish owns its permanent sanctuary, which is the original one. Major benefactors include Dr. Kegham K. Goekjian, the godfather of the church.

Important Events: The parish hosted a visit by His Holiness Catholicos Vazken I in 1960. It dedicated its Genocide Memorial in 1966 and its cultural hall in 1972. It celebrated its 25th anniversary in 1989. The parish hosted the ACYOA General Assembly and Sports Weekend in 1990, the Choir Assembly in 1992, and the Clergy Conference and 95th Diocesan Assembly in 1997. It celebrated its 30th anniversary and dedicated a new organ in 1994. In 1996, the parish witnessed the ordination to the priesthood of Fr. Simeon Odabashian.
