Armenian Constitutional Right-Protective Centre (ACRPC) located in the Lori region is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO).

We are an organization dedicated to the development and consolidation of civilized democratic structure. We believe every citizen is entitled to be fully informed of his or her human rights. With this in mind, our priority is the dissemination of human rights education.

ACRPC was founded in 1988 Registered in the Ministry of Justice of Armenia in 1995 Re-registered on May 20, 1999

Since 1996, our organization presented seven Human Rights teaching courses in Vanadzor and graduated 184 Human Rights educators from all regions who are qualified to instruct any level of society. In addition, Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (IHL) conferences, seminars and meetings are regularly held in various regions.

In addition, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia mandated the subject Human Rights and Democracy is included as required curriculum in all higher schools beginning September 2001. We signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Center of Educational Reforms of the Ministry agreeing to train the educators necessary to fulfill the need within Armenia.


ACRPC contributes to the development of the society's legal culture in Armenia through scientific activity, education, information dissemination and advocacy.

The spheres of the organization’s activity are: - Human Rights School (Beneficiaries: Legal Subjects (LS) teachers and community leaders) The School was founded in 1996. The academic process is organized with new teaching collaborative mode through a 20-day and two 5-day sessions and distance learning. The duration of the studies is one year.

- Human Rights Library Network (Beneficiaries: LS teachers, professors, students, schoolchildren, lawyers, journalists, NGO members, attorneys, Human Rights defenders, and others) The first library of the Network was established in 1996 in Vanadzor, and currently it includes six Human Rights libraries in Vanadzor, Dilijan, Gavar, Sevan, Hrazdan and Artashat towns. It possesses more than 3500 titles of books, 14000 pieces of literature (mainly of legal trend) and more than 1400 regular readers in all the regions of Armenia. The libraries provide the readers with the following services: subscription, periodical press, reading hall, audio and video-catalogues, Xeroxing and IRTEK - legal informative software program. The membership and the usage of all services are free-of-charge.

- Legal publications (Beneficiaries: scientists, LS teachers, schoolchildren, members of national and international organizations) Since 1989 the legal scientific-methodological review For the Sake of Justice has being published, which since 2001 has been included in the list of the RA High Quality Committee of reviews suitable for theses publication. The review is published in 1500 print run and is distributed to all the secondary schools of the Republic free of charge.

The organization is also author of other legal publications and translations.
