Abrahamyan, Ruben Абрахамян Рубен(b. July 2, 1981, Yerevan). Armenian composer of mostly chamber and electroacoustic works that have been performed in Europe.
Mr. Abrahamyan studied composition with Vardan Ajemyan and piano with Elsa Tandilyan at the Sayat-Nova School of Music in Yerevan from 1990-98 and composition with Vardan Ajemyan at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory from 1998-2002. He has studied composition and electroacoustic music at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève since 2002, on a scholarship.
His honors include First Prize in the Izabel competition in Yerevan (1998, for Sonata). His music has been performed in Armenia, Kosova and Switzerland.
