Diocese Appoints Avedisyan New Social Services Director
BURBANK, Calif. - A Social Services Department was reactivated by the Western Diocese with the appointment of Director Margarita Avedisyan, the Diocese announced last week.
Avedisyan has years of experience and expertise in social and family issues since her service in 1991 when she was the Director of the Social Services at the Diocese. In that capacity, she performed a commendable service to the Armenian community, especially those who had newly arrived from the Middle East and Armenia.
Avedisyan was born and educated in Armenia. She moved to the United States in 1975. She has several professional licenses. Her services are offered on a volunteer basis.
Her office is located at Neighborhood Counseling - Education and Support Center, 664 W. Broadway, Glendale. Tel.: (818) 291-0902. Avedisyan can also be contacted at the Diocese on Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Her cell number is (818) 381-3565.
