Hakobyan, Anush Anush Hakobyan is a Ph.D. candidate at the Center of Economic Research and Graduate Education of Charles University in Prague, and Junior Researcher at the Economic Institute of the Academy of Science of the Czech Republic. Her research interests include foreign direct investment, bank and non-bank financial institutions, supervision and control of banking systems in transitional countries, and capital markets. In her doctoral thesis she is studying factors affecting financial FDI and behavior of foreign banks in emerging markets. She holds a M.A. from the CERGE-EI, accredited by the New York State Board of Regents. Hakobyan?graduated from Yerevan State University's department of Economics Cybernetics in 1996. Prior to entering academia in 2001, she worked as a Head of Correspondent Relations and International Transactions department at Bank Mellat cjsc in Yerevan
