Биография

Israelyan, Martun Исраэлян Мартун (b. March 25, 1938, Gumri). Armenian composer of mostly orchestral, chamber and vocal works that have been performed in the Americas and Europe.

Prof. Israelyan studied composition and music theory at a music college in Gumri in 1964. He studied composition with Grigor Ehiazaryan at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory from 1964-69.

His music has been performed in Argentina, Armenia, the Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Ukraine, the UK, and the USA.

He has taught as Professor of Composition at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory since 1986.
