The Sakura charitable Union was established in March 1999. The main area of activity is healthcare.

The goal of the organization is:

To support socially vulnerable people and the disabled in the provision of full medical assistance, education and social rehabilitation.

The objectives of the organization are as follows:

To assist in the early diagnosis of socially vulnerable patients and the disabled; To assist in the procurement of medication necessary for socially vulnerable patients and the disabled. CTO assists in the training, social rehabilitation, procurement of educational literature and its dissemination, establishment of relevant library and video room for socially vulnerable patients and the disabled; To assist socially vulnerable patients and the disabled in the acquisition of the necessary diet food; To support in the study and introduction in Armenia of the world achievements in medicine, scientific research activities in medicine, training of students; To promote the creation of jobs for the patients and disabled who are socially vulnerable and suffer from chronic diseases; To promote the development of links and interrelationships between the local and similar international organizations; To support the provision of the relevant social and legal assistance to socially vulnerable patients and the disabled; To organize the production, supply and repair of the medical appliances and equipment.
