Kevork Bardakjian

Kevork Bardakjian is the Marie Manoogian Professor of Armenian language and literature at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He also is the director of the Armenian Summer Language Institute in Yerevan, Armenia.

EDUCATION 1970-1974 Oxford University, D.Phil. in Armenian Studies. Doctoral Thesis: Hagop Baronian's Political and Social Satire.

1964-1970 Yerevan State University, preparatory year, 1964-1965; M.A. in Armenian Language and Literature, 1965-1969; first year towards Ph.D. in Armenian Studies, 1969-1970.

В 1974-87 преподавал в Гарвардском ун-те, с 1987 заведует кафедрой арм. языка и лит-ры Мичиганского ун-та (США). В книге <Гитлер и геноцид армян> (1985, на англ. яз.) П., основываясь на ранее неизвестные архивные мат-лы, привел неопровержимые доказательства того, что Гитлер, замышляя массовое уничтожение евреев, учитывал как опыт осуществления геноцида армян в Осм. империи, так и тот факт, что тур. власти за совершенное ими преступление против человечества не были привлечены к ответственности. П. принимал участие в международ, научных конференциях, посвященных проблемам геноцида.
