Lilit Pipoyan Лилит Пипоян alternated between guitar and piano, which she played on the pieces "I'm Away From You," "Windy City," and "In the Garden, "whose lyrics describe a mystical landscape. Pipoyan explained that the melody and text were influenced by her examination of Armenian love poetry of the 10th-14th centuries. Alchemists were looking in vain for the way of transforming earth into gold. Listening to Lilit Pipoyan, one has the feeling that she has found the secret. Being all sad like earth, her songs are all radiant like gold and like sun. The radiance of her songs emanates from the sadness. Pipoyan's official debut recording on compact disc was the beautiful "Ruben Hakhverdian and Lilit Pipoyan," released in 1999. She has subsequently released two more discs, the much-celebrated "Lialusin," also from 1999, and her latest release, "One Day of the City." Official website: www.garni.com
