Date of Establishment: 1991

The mission of the Armenian Consumers' Union is to protect consumers' rights, and to work alongside the Armenian government and legal-related organizations. It strives to provide the population with objective information about quality control by means of publications, lectures, and seminars. It deals primarily with food products, along with the government to raise standards of quality.

The Armenian Consumers' Union believes that it is every consumer's right to be provided with accurate information about the products and services that he utilizes.

The primary goals of the Armenian Consumers' Union are: To protect rights of consumers, to help solving their problems in state and private sectors. To establish functioning legislation in the Republic of Armenia, educate the population, and establish/develop norms of commerce etiquette. To publish analytical articles, brochures/bulletins; educate consumers, journalists by means of seminars/round tables. To correspond with the unions of Europe and Russia.
