This gold commemorative coin issued by the Central Bank of Armenia is dedicated to the centenary of Jean Garzou's birth. Jean Garzou (Garnik Zoulumyan, 1907-2000) is an Armenian artist. He has graduated from the Paris Architectural School. Participated in exhibitions and salons in Paris. Specialized in painting landscapes, portraits and still life genres, he has launched personal exhibitions in many cities worldwide. Jean Garzou is famous for his desire to peculiar imaging and style and also known as a scene painter and book-illustrator. The obverse of the coin depicts the lithography 'Vanq' (church), 1981. Designed by H. Samuelian (obverse) and K. Kojoyan (reverse). Minted in Jablonex Group a.s., Division Czech Mint. [1]
