Известный арменовед из диаспоры, профессор кафедры арменоведения Мичиганского университета Геворк Бардакчян Геворгродился в Бейруте, учился в армянской католической школе Дамаска, в арабском училище, затем окончил филологический факультет Ереванского государственного университета. После защиты докторской диссертации в Оксфорде по арменоведческой теме два года стажировался в Сорбонне, затем переехал в США и 14 лет преподавал в Гарвардском университете.
Kevork Bardakjian Kevork Bardakjian is the Marie Manoogian Professor of Armenian language and literature at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He also is the director of the Armenian Summer Language Institute in Yerevan, Armenia. EDUCATION 1970-1974 Oxford University, D.Phil. in Armenian Studies.
