The Center for Regional Development was founded in July 2000 and registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia as a non-governmental organization in August 2000. Since November 2000, CRD has been officially recognized as the Transparency International contact/partner organization in Armenia. In May 2001, CRD received the status of TI National Chapter in Formation. In October 2001, CRD was granted the status of fully pledged TI National Chapter in Armenia.
