Lisa Kirazian is a playwright and screenwriter with nearly twenty scripts to her credit. Six of her plays–Not What the Doctor Ordered, The Glorious Bride, The Visitor, The Way You Look Tonight, Armenian Voices and Soul Fire–have been produced across California. Her screenplays include Cassatt and Degas, which won the 2002 Telluride Indiefest Screenplay Contest, and The Independents and The Visitor (adapted from her play) which were honored in the Script Magazine and Writer's Digest competitions. Her play The Blackstone Sessions was honored by the New Century Writer's Awards. Her latest screenplay, Mr. First Date, was a finalist at the San Diego Film Festival, and a semifinalist with Scriptapalooza and Slamdance. Ms. Kirazian was born and raised in San Diego and attended Stanford University, where she was mentored by playwright/actress Anna Deavere Smith. Her other written work includes journalism, audiobook abridgements, and a novel inspired by her experience as a violinist, The Music We Made.
