Starting form 1924 the Melkonian Education Center has been operating (it was established by the money inherited by Grigor and Karapet Melkonians).
Melkonian School used to publish the "Aig" yearly book during 1937-1979, and now it publishes "Tsolk" periodical. It also has a choir. Hakob Oshakan, Vahan Tekeyan, Barsegh Kanachian taught in the School.
