The commemorative coin issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia is dedicated to the 100-th anniversary of Aram Khachatryan (1903-1978), a prominent Armenian musician, composer and conductor.
Aram Khachatryan is one of the greatest composers of the 20-th century. His music, which is an original product, carries the best traditions of national and world music. His music is distinguishable for its bright colours, rich melody, and brilliant creative mastery.
