Parish Information
The Armenian Apostolic Church of Santa Clarita, California was founded in 2004 under the leadership of Vartan Vahramian by His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian and is an official member of The Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America.
Parish Council Officers under the chairmanship of Vartan Vahramian were appointed to form the core of the council. They were as follows:

Our first Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Valencia High School on May 9, 2004 in the multipurpose hall. Rev. Fr. Zareh Mansuryan, Pastor in charge of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Santa Clarita conducted the Liturgy.
The Santa Clarita Valley community consists of Armenians from Armenia, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Iran, Russia and other countries around the globe. Currently, Divine Liturgy (Soorp Badarak) is held at the multipurpose room of Rio Vista Elementary School in Canyon Country on the fourth Sunday of every month. The Diocese graciously sends a priest and deacons to perform the services along with participation by local community members. We are grateful to be able to have services held at Rio Vista Elementary School but wish to have a church of our own at some point in the future. It is a difficult task, however with the Grace of God that too may become a reality in the future. Parish council members meet once a month to discuss organizational issues. In the summer, picnics and other activities are planned.
