Шаблон:Unitedt Beginning from the last quarter of XIX century a range of public organizations had been organized in the Armenian Community of France. The oldest one is the "Haykakan Usumnasirats" Union (Union of Armenian Wishful for Knowledge), which was organized in Paris, in 1879. The union aimed at assisting poor Armenian studentship in France. The union also opened an Armenian library in France, which although not being very rich, but played a significant role in upbringing of Armenian youth. It existed for many years.
