The Armenian Young Lawyers Association (AYLA) was formed in Yerevan in February, 1995, by a group of students and young lawyers of Yerevan State University Faculty of Law and was registered at the RA Ministry of Justice (MJ) on March 14 of the same year as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). The AYLA was re-registered at the RA MJ on 13th of December.
=The mission of AYLA: =
To unite and direct the efforts and potential of the members and supporters of the Organization to facilitate the strengthening and the power of the Republic of Armenia as a sovereign, social democratic state governed by the rule of law;
The staff is managed by the corresponding project manager and the president of the organization. Each member of the staff is responsible for performing his(her) duties defined by the Charter of the organization and appropriate project and periodically he(she) presents report on his(her) implemented work.
=Projects=
"Free legal aid to vulnerable strata". By this project free legal aid is rendered to vulnerable strata through the Yerevan, Vanadzor, Gyumri, Gavar, Kapan and Goris offices of the organizations;
" Legal Training and Information Center". By this project the lawyers, advocates and law students make free use of literature of the center /legal books, magazines, legal video materials and e-legal literature and so on/ as well as modern legal subjects, the courses of English classes and computer classes.
