Khanjian David Ученик М. М. Малунцяна. С 1974 гл. дирижёр и художественный руководитель Государственного симфонического оркестра Армении.

David Khanjian, renowned Armenian conductor and pianist, Distinguished Artist of the Republic of Armenia granted two government honors, started his musical education at Tchaikovsky school of music in Yerevan, Armenia. Later he completed piano studies at Yerevan Komitas conservatory under Professor Robert AndreassianГастролировал за рубежом.
Starting С 1968, Mrпреподавал в Ереванской консерватории (с 1979 доцент).Khanjian was combining teaching career at the conservatory with studying conducting with distinguished conductor and pedagogue Professor Maluntsian. In 1972 - 1973 David Khanjian refined his conducting skills at Vienna Academy of Music coached by Svarovsky and Cherkh. In 1974, he assumed position of the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra and remained in this position until his untimely death in 1981. Maestro Khanjian possessed very bright and creative artistic personality and showed immense dedication to his vocation through all his career. He is remembered as a perceptive leader able to provide deep insight. Khanjian's era is marked by extending the repertory and presenting compositions like Richard Strauss' Symphonic Poems "Don Quixote", "Death and Transfiguration", "Also Sprach Zarathustra", Gustav Mahler's Symphonies No,1 and 5, Stravinski's Ballet Suites "Firebird", "Petrushka", "The Rite of Spring", the Violin Concerto, Bela Bartok's "Enchanted Tangerine" and Piano Concerto No.2. Works by Armenian composers found their place in the repertoire as well. During his tenure the orchestra expanded its touring activities, performing in the concert halls of Moscow, Baltic republics, Trans Caucasus, Leningrad, Kiev to delight of grateful audiences. ==Сочинения==
