Shirak Football Club was founded in 1958 in Leninakan (now Gyumri). In 1970-1980 the Club was under name Olympia (Leninakan). All this years, in Soviet Union times it was under State control (like everything else).
Shirak F.C. is the most stable Club in the Country and its Head Coach Mr. Andranik Adamyan (see photo) is Head Coach for the last 12 years (the longest period in modern Armenian football history).
The home Stadium of the Club is Gyumri City Stadium with capacity of 3000 spectators (season 2002).
