Доктор физико-математических наук по специальности "Физика конденсированного состояния". Занимает должность профессора в РАУ.
На протяжении ряда лет проявлял интерес к историко-архитектурному наследию на территории Нагорного Карабаха, а в период военного противостояния в данном регионе проявил активное участие в оборонных мероприятиях.
Публикации автора отражают его видение Нагорного Карабаха в различные периоды.
