APAKIAN LINDA HAMILTON
Born: England No formal education in art. I first became involved in painting when I joined the Whitehorse Art Society group pastel classes in 2003. Prior to this I had no real interest in painting, and joined up on a trial basis to see if I liked it, which to my surprise I did, and found pastel had a versatility and vibrancy which appealed to me.
Exhibitions entered: 2003 Whitehorse Art Society Nunawading People's Choice Award - Pastel 2004 Box Hill & Whitehorse Art Societies Combined Ken Emmett Award - Watercolour - Animal theme 2004 Whitehorse Art Society Nunawading Highly Commended Award - Pastel same exhibition different painting " " 2nd Place - Work on Paper - Pastel I find I am drawn to the more realistic style of painting and the artist I admire most would have to be Andrew Wyeth,
